A Mule Named Ox Gaming, LLC. was started with the purpose of providing multi-media entertainment to role-playing enthusiasts. Using podcast platforms, web-based media outlets, and printed publications, we aim to entertain, inspire, and delight our global fantasy role-playing audience.
Everyone we have ever met at some point or another dreams of creating a comfortable living doing something they truly love to do. We at A Mule Named Ox Gaming, LLC. are certain that this is possible, not only for ourselves, but for a huge group of tabletop role-playing game enthusiasts everywhere.
We understand the excitement surrounding tabletop role-playing games, especially in this day and age. Providing people with an opportunity to engage each other in the vast fantasy world and numerous adventures and campaign settings available today in the form and shape of their choosing. We not only understand this, but want to provide our own influence, ideas, and creativity to the genre. And ... we know a huge population of RPGers out there want the opportunity to do the same!
A Mule Named Ox Gaming, LLC. was created by 5 friends who have been playing in-person tabletop RPGs for years, and even decades in some cases. Our company is founded on a passion for games that can only be found with people who have survived from grade school to middle age always finding a way to incorporate RPGs into their lives. People who have every Players Handbook for every edition of the game since they started playing their first RPG. People who had to persevere through the editions they hated for the pure love of the game. People who met their friends after school to explore the next dungeon, people who now sneak out of work early to meet their party at the tavern to discuss starting an LLC for like-minded people out there in the world that needs heroes like us. People who want to find creative enthusiasts to contribute and be heroes too.
Ethan has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since he was given a set of hand-me-down 1st edition rule books in the mid-80s. Ethan has a degree in History and Political Science from Ohio State University. He enjoys reading, writing, movies, baseball, and homebrewing various types of alcoholic beverages. He once played bass in a heavy metal band and his music collection includes everything from Metallica to Mozart. Ethan lives in southeast Indiana with his wife and four cats - who have graciously agreed to allow the humans to continue living in their house.
Jordan is the baby of the group yet far surpasses the old farts in maturity. She has been playing DND for 4 years with these same geriatrics, group monogamy is alive and well! Jordan has declared herself mother of the group and tries her best to keep order amongst the degenerates. She is also the loving mother(wrangler) of two beautiful children (crotch goblins), two bouncing baby bulldogs, and one immortal cat. In her free time, let’s be real there is no free time… When she can escape, she enjoys traveling to new places and old favorites.
I was inspired to start playing D&D 5 years ago, when a friend introduced me the world of fantasy. I participate in the S.C.A. doing Historical Reenactment as a 12th Century Viking named BullRick the Berserker. I hope to one day pursue something I consider my dream of becoming a voice actor. I dream of inspiring people to do greater things and believe in themselves.
Rob hails from the great state of semi-consciousness but now lives in denial. As a self-taught money mis-manager he spends his days cruising the internet for giant inflatable pool toys and expensive, nasty tasting Bourbon. His love of animals, slow cooked in gravy, kept him in the woods for most of his young adult life and his love of cheap lite beers has kept him there since. Affectionately known to his friends as “Dude, how can you drink that swill” or more formally “Dude, how can you drink that much swill” Rob has been known to strike up a party for no better reason than remembering to put out the garbage in time for pickup. TTRPG came very naturally to Rob as he had no idea he was role playing until earlier this year, he had always just assumed he had multiple personalities. Considering that he has been playing for thirty-toomany years, that should be a pseudo-psychology record of some kind. In all honesty, Rob has successfully held sales positions for multiple big name corporations thru out the United States and nobody else applied for the Chief Sales and Marketing Officers position but him, please welcome Rob to A Mule Named Ox Gaming LLC.
Jarid has been playing DnD since 3rd Edition and still often wonders where the "Use Rope" skill went. His precious free time is consumed by creating backup characters that will never see the light of day; none of which are able to use a rope mechanically in 5e. Born in the utopian paradise of Cincinnati in a state of denial at the height of the Cold War and the Hair Metal craze of the mid '80s, he spends most of his time pretending to work while white-knuckling both his marriage and life responsibilities.
Liz has been playing DnD for about 4 years and loves coming up with crazy characters with hilarious backgrounds and accents. She's a momma to two beautiful babies and one nerdy husband. She enjoys cleaning while listening to 90's rap and dancing in a manner that would probably embarrass said babies and husband but damn that girl can move!

They say the age of heroes is dead. Bifrost, the bridge to glory, fell long go. Now, the world is lost in an age of war, of dark wilderness, and lost empires sunk beneath the waves. Only magic and the warmth of hope keeps lights aglow when dread things prowl and priestly wardings shake, bent by demonic rage.
What's more, sinister forces are forming new and terrifying alliances throughout the world. The roads to the shadow realm are open again, and the fey have returned to claim their ancient tribute. In the north, the giants prepare for Ragnarok, while the goblins in the west grow restless. In the Crossroads, the shadow of the vampire princes falls across the land. The World Serpent is stirring - and not even all-knowing Baba Yaga can say what will happen next.
It is a dark time. But there are rumors throughout Midgard that a new breed of hero has come to stand against the dark - driving it back with spell, steel, and cunning! - Kobold Press, Midgard Worldbook
A Bar Wenches' Tale is a podcast where we play 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons. Set in the world of Midgard by Kobold Press. Join our heroes: Morrigan the ravenfolk bard, Bright Eyes the trollkin druid, Nalza the human cleric, and Sparks Justice - an unlikely friend - as they struggle to keep the darkness at bay.
